Our GREAT NORTHERN story

Hand-blended in small batches in Northwich, Cheshire by us – a husband-and-wife team passionate about bold flavours without the bad stuff.

We believe great-tasting food shouldn't come with additives, excess salt, or hidden sugars. Hopefully, you’ll agree our spice blends look just as good on the shelf as they taste in your kitchen.

Our journey began in our own Cheshire kitchen, where Paul spent years creating his own spice blends to cook healthy, sugar-free meals (especially for Lotty, who has type 1 diabetes). We were frustrated by the supermarket options – often packed with sugar, salt, and preservatives – so Paul got to work crafting clean, flavourful alternatives using only natural, high-quality ingredients.

Now, we're spicing up kitchens across the UK with over 40 handcrafted Seasonings, Rubs, Sea Salt Pots and Curry Blends – all made with real ingredients and zero nasties.

This year, we’ve been lucky enough to be finalists in the Cheshire Life Awards for ‘Food & Drink Producer of the Year’ and we’ve WON a Great Taste Award 2025 for our Cape Malay Curry Blend.

Our products are sold via our online shop to buddy home cooks and BBQ enthusiasts around the UK, at artisan markets and food festivals in the North West and at a growing number of farm shop and deli locations.
