These Salted Coconut & Lime Dark Chocolate Nut Bars strike the perfect balance between indulgent and refreshing. Rich, velvety dark chocolate wraps around a crunchy mix of toasted nuts.
This Chocolate Nut Bar recipe uses the Great Northern Spice Coconut & Lime Sea Salt.
INGREDIENTS
Half a teaspoon of the Coconut & Lime Sea Salt
200g 70%+ dark chocolate, broken up for melting - more often than not quality dark chocolate will be vegan friendly, but check the ingredients
250g unsalted mixed nuts, leave whole or roughly chop
1 tablespoon of quality no added sugar smooth peanut butter
YOU WILL NEED
A silicone mold for 8 bars (easy to remove each one).
HOW TO PREPARE
Melt the dark chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (or in short bursts in the microwave), stirring until smooth.
Fold in the mixed nuts, peanut butter and Coconut & Lime Sea Salt ensuring everything is evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into the silicone mold and spread it out evenly, pressing the nut mixture down firmly.
Chill in the fridge for 2–3 hours, or until completely set.
WHEN TO ENJOY
Enjoy straight from the fridge. Perfect as a healthy snack, dessert, or on-the-go treat that’s low in sugar.
