Spanish Meatballs with Tortellini

When Spain meets Italy! Spanish meatballs served with tortellini is an experience you need to try. This quick, simple and hearty midweek meal will leave you wanting more.

Spanish Meatballs with Tortellini Recipe*
*Feel free to use veggie or vegan meatballs
You will need...
Ingredients
2 tablespoons of Great Northern Spice Spanish Sazon Seasoning
12 meatballs (beef or veggie)
1 finely diced red onion
1 sliced red bell pepper
1 teaspoon garlic puree or chopped garlic
400g passata
300g Tortellini (we have Spinach & Ricotta!)
Handful of grated mozzarella (optional)
1 tablespoons olive oil
How to cook
In a frying pan on a medium to heat high, heat the olive oil then fry your onion, pepper and garlic until sauteed - approx 3-4 mins.
Add the meatballs and fry for 8-10 mins until lightly browned on all sides, stirring occasionally.
Now add our Spanish Sazon seasoning with the passata. Stir in thoroughly and leave to simmer for 10 minutes.
With 5 minutes to go, cook your tortellini in a pan of boiling water.
Drain the tortellini and serve in a bowl. Add the meatballs and sauce over and garnish with parsley and grated mozzarella. Enjoy!
