Our Korean BBQ Pork Belly Bites recipe is great for an Asian style tapas, or to serve with egg and mushroom fried rice. The flavours are rich and our seasoning creates a beautiful marinade to smother your pork belly bites, tofu or kimchi option.
This Korean BBQ Belly Pork Bites recipe uses the Great Northern Spice Korean BBQ Seasoning.
INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons of Great Northern Spice Korean BBQ Seasoning
600g pork belly, cut in to 1 inch chunks
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
VEGETARIAN & VEGAN OPTION
Tofu, cut in to 1 inch chunks
1 tablespoon Vegan Honeee or Agave Nectar - various brands available
HOW TO COOK - Air Fryer Method
In a large mixing bowl, add the pork belly or tofu, and mix with the sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of our Korean BBQ seasoning.
Place in to the air fryer at 180℃ - 25 minutes for pork, 15 minutes for tofu, turning over half way through.
In a separate bowl, prep the marinade by mixing together the honey (or vegan alternative), soy sauce. garlic, ginger, sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of our Korean BBQ seasoning.
With about 5 minutes to go on the pork belly or tofu. pour the marinade in to small saucepan and cook on a medium to high heat, turning down if it starts to bubble and spit.
Once the pork belly or tofu is cooked, add to a serving bowl and pour over the marinade. Sprinkle over the sliced spring onion and sesame seeds.

To achieve the ultimate crispy pork belly, ensure the skin is extremely dry by leaving it uncovered in the fridge overnight,
